Jace is now a servant of evil, bound for all eternity to Sebastian. Only a small band of Shadowhunters believe he can be saved. To do this they must defy the Clave. And they must act without Clary. For Clary is playing a dangerous game utterly alone. The price of losing is not just her own life, but Jace’s soul. Clary is willing to do anything for Jace, but can she still trust him? Or is he truly lost? What price is too high to pay, even for love?
I adored City of Lost Souls. The beginning was quite slow paced and the second half of the book was more interesting.
I loved how Clare found a way to connect Jace and Sebastian. It was so interesting to see how it worked and how it also could fail. Seeing two sides of Jace was a nice touch and I definitely enjoyed that.
Clary dealing with Sebastian was great. I mean, how would you deal if you had an evil brother? Sebastian is such a pathological liar that I, too, believed him at times. I even felt sorry for him.
Clary showed that she would do anything for Jace. She proved it again and again. They both would go to the end of the world for each other, or, in this case, through hell. Funny, because Clary’s number one thought is Jace.
City of Lost Souls had some team power in it! All my faves working together, also known as Magnus, Alec, Isabelle and Simon. Could it get any better? It was so great to see them working together. They’ve grown so much and I’m so proud!
