Goodreads Summary:

Tenley “Ten” Lockwood is an average seventeen-year-old girl…who has spent the past thirteen months locked inside the Prynne Asylum. The reason? Not her obsession with numbers, but her refusal to let her parents choose where she’ll live—after she dies.

There is an eternal truth most of the world has come to accept: Firstlife is merely a dress rehearsal, and real life begins after death.

In the Everlife, two realms are in power: Troika and Myriad, longtime enemies and deadly rivals. Both will do anything to recruit Ten, including sending their top Laborers to lure her to their side. Soon, Ten finds herself on the run, caught in a wild tug-of-war between the two realms who will do anything to win the right to her soul. Who can she trust? And what if the realm she’s drawn to isn’t home to the boy she’s falling for? She just has to stay alive long enough to make a decision…

Things That Will Make Me Instantly NOT Want To Read A Book

I’m going to confess that this will be a difficult topic, since I usually read quite a lot. Nevertheless, there are things I do not like, and I am going to list them for you.
This Top Ten Tuesday is also brought to you with gifs, because gifs are everything.

(Just now realized this was last weeks topic. No hard feelings.)

  1. Zombies. I just don’t like it. I’ve never liked it. To be honest, I’m kind of afraid…
  2. Instalove. This is a tricky one, since I do read books with instalove, but this usually means I don’t know about it. But yeah, it’s surreal. It’s not realistic and that’s why I don’t like it.
  3. Horror/thriller. I am such a pussy when it comes to horror/thriller books. Seriously. I don’t even watch horror/thriller movies, because that means I won’t sleep for the next three months. Horror/thriller is a no go for me. I like sleep. I want to keep it that way.
  4. Aliens. I am so sorry. I’ve never been into aliens and I don’t really like it.
  5. Christian books. I hope I don’t hurt people’s feelings with this, because I absolutely don’t want that. It just isn’t my cup of tea.
  6. Erotica.

  7. Bad grammar. Don’t you just hate it when that happens?
  8. ‘The new…’ I get it. But you can never replace Harry Potter or renew it. Whenever I read this on the backside of a book, I think: “Alright, that’s nice, but why?” I mean, it’s great you do that, but it could never be Twilight or Harry Potter, since those are stories on their own.
  9. Love triangle.
  10. Super arrogant characters. Okay, buddy. Take it ten steps back and don’t return. I just get so frustrated with super arrogant characters.

What’s a no go for you?

What Have I Been Up To? #2

Hey everyone,

I wanted to do a small update on what I’ve been doing for the last couple of weeks, since I wasn’t here as much as I wanted.

  • University is a mess. My mind says uni, but my heart says isolated sheep herder, you know? University has been extremely busy. We had so many deadlines and projects. I literally cried because of the stress. Thank goodness I got all my EC’s, but still, it was extremely hectic and hard. This was the main reason I couldn’t be here, because I was so extremely busy. I just didn’t have the time to read and to blog and to handle my bookstagram all at the same time. Sacrifices had to be made.
  • I went to the Harry Potter exhibition. And it was so amazing you won’t believe. All those props and facts about the Harry Potter movie. I died and went to heaven, let me tell you that. It was incredible and I want to go back.
